I've had a few weeks off from the blogosphere to tend to the new business and finish up the tax season. Whew! I haven't been able to focus on much beyond work for the last 6 weeks or so.
Needless to say, my training has suffered. Before I disappeared online, I was right on track mileage-wise for my Running to Disneyland and KOTH goals. As of today, I am now 117.8 miles behind where I should be today. That's not an insurmountable deficit, but I'd better get back to the training now so 2011 doesn't become a 2010-style Epic Fail for mileage.
Weight-wise, the month has been kind. I'm down a few pounds since the Little Rock Marathon. The bad news is that I'm sure all of that is muscle loss. My legs were completely hulked-out for Little Rock. No so much anymore.
So, now it's time to cowboy up, get back on that horse and get moving again. However, given my mileage deficit it may be more like climbing on the back of a raging T-Rex, taming it, and trying to wrestle it across the finish line.
For the KOTH runners, keep an eye out behind you. I'm about to catch up.
You have been warned.

Until next time, just keep goofin' . . .
Sorry you got off track...that happens to everyone every once in a while! Life can get crazy at times! :0) Hope you have a great rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteBoy - life sure does have a way of messing things up doesn't it? The last two weeks have been beyond bad for me - getting ready to travel and then actually traveling seriously cut my miles. Going to be hard to hit 100 miles this month.
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that T-Rex is in for one heck of a time with you holding the reins!
