The Kronk

Yesterday my training schedule called for another 6 mile run on a really hilly course. So, that's what I did. Since I've got another month or so of these runs on the calendar, I've decided to officially call this workout "The Kronk".

So, yeah. I loaded up my iPod with a 3-hour Meandering Mouse Disneyland Paris retrospective podcast. I put on my bright white pair of Nike Free shoes (I'll blog about these shoes sometime), and got going.

For an hour I zig-zagged up and down and around hill after hill. I trudged on and on through the grassy trails. In all it was a great workout.

When I got finished, I was shocked at the condition of my shoes. They were no longer bright white. In one hour, they had gone from bright white to dark brown. I hadn't run through any mud. My shoes picked up every spec of dirt from the grass I was running through. They look 10 years old; and are easily the dingiest shoes I own now.

Still goofin' . . .
